GET READY FOR THE SUMMER

Summer is almost here, however we still have some time to achieve our goals. Whether it's starting a workout regimen, or even losing those last few pounds, here are some tips to help you out.

Tip #1 TAKE PICTURES OF EVERYTHING YOU EAT

Take a picture of everything you eat and send it to your friends/family. This is very helpful when you want to eat more healthy foods. Your friends/family can also motivate you. By doing this you will see the changes you need to make and it will help you track your food over a long period of time. Unlike other food tracking apps which can be a pain and sometimes you even forget to add food, taking a quick picture is much easier and worthy, as they a say "a picture is worth 1,000 words".

Tip # 2 SUBSTITUTE UNHEALTHY FOODS FOR HEALTHIER ONES

  • If you are craving chocolate or something sweet, opt for dark chocolate instead.
  • Instead of white bread and rice, use whole wheat bread and brown rice. Since they are complex carbs, it takes longer for your body to break them down, and they are also more rich in vitamins and fiber than simple carbs.
Here is a list of foods that help increase your metabolism.
Tip # 3 DRINK WATER/ FRUIT FLAVORED WATER

If you are not a big fan of water, you can always change up the taste by adding some fruits and make it more colorful and fun to drink.

Secret to Weight Loss?

Weight Loss?

Yes, summer is a few months away and so are you from getting fit and healthy. I'm not going to lie changing your lifestyle and becoming dedicated to healthy eating is difficult, as I have failed many times. But I am going to try. How about you?

Here are the simple rules to weight loss.

This is all you need.

Need some tips?
1. Eliminate all drinks to just water. (You may drink low-fat milk as well.)
2. Replace you sweets with fruits and vegetables.
3. Sleep for at least 8 hours.
4. Start off with a 30 minute walk, if you are new to exercise.
5. If you don't like running or walking, try other activities. My favorite is dancing, just put the music loud and it won't even feel like you are exercising.
6. Start eating whole wheat bread.
7. Make Saturday fun by having a small chocolate, if you are chocoholic.
8. Remember it's not about losing weight, it's about becoming healthy.

A nice starter workout to increase strength.
